Every job in Learning Quest comes equipped with skills that are earned by gaining levels. Skills give students special abilities to use on assignments, tests, and quizzes. To use a skill, students must pass combat training, i.e. a small formative assessment, proving that they are ready to do battle. Once students have passed a combat training, they earn an Action Token. During the battle, students can turn in their Action Token declaring that they are using a skill based on their current XP level. The teacher then rolls a digital d20 die, found here, to see if the skill is effective. If a student rolls a 10 or below, the skill misses. If the student rolls an 11-17, the skill hits. If the student rolls an 18-20, they score a critical hit to receive extra XP!
